An
opportunity has arisen at UHV Design within the assembly area, where a
number of varied tasks are carried out. A general description of
the typical tasks is included below.

 |
The
physical kitting of components for ultra high vacuum (UHV)
instruments, allocating stock and recording short-falls. |
 |
Cleaning
of machined components within the ultra-sonic cleaning tank
system to ensure UHV ready components. |
 |
The
packing of sensitive and fragile instruments within suitable
containers to ensure their safe transportation. |
 |
Assisting
with the assembly of standard components initially, with a view to
progressing to more complicated instruments in the future. |
 |
Monitoring
the stock levels of commonly used components to prevent delays due
to shortfalls. |
 | Assisting
with monthly stock checks. |

| The
successful candidate will have both a genuine interest and an
educational background in mechanical engineering or physics. They
will be able to work on their own initiative, have a systematic approach
to work and be eager to learn. |

| Place of Work |
| Our
sales department is located at Unit 6, Stonecross Business Centre,
Laughton, East Sussex. |
| Remuneration |
| In the region of £12-15K P.A. depending upon
experience/education. |
| Hours of Work |
| The
normal hours of work are 40 per week. Core times from 9.00am to 1.00pm
and 1.30pm to 5.30pm allowing half an hour for lunch. |
| Annual Holiday Entitlement |
| The
annual holiday runs from January to December. Staff are entitled to 20
working days accrued at 5 days/3 month. An additional 1 day/year of
service is offered until the current maximum of 25 days is achieved. |
| Pensions |
| The
Company has the provision to offer a Stakeholder Pension. |
