UHV Linear/Rotary Axis Selectable PowerProbes - ASPP

The axis-selected PowerProbe also provides both linear and rotary motion. The difference being that each axis can be separately locked-off if required.

Three separate modes of operation are therefore provided, linear only, rotary only and linear/rotary motion combined. As with all the probes, the design also includes an entire position lock to prevent motion of either axis.

Specification Table

Linear power version Standard
Stroke 250mm  (10"), 304mm  (12"), 457mm (18")
609mm (24"), 914mm (36")
Actuation H (No motorised option)
Mounting flange CFNW35 70mm (2.75") OD
Linear coupling break away force 70N (15 lbf) 180N (40 lbf) 310N (69 lbf)
Rotary coupling break away force 4Nm (2.95 lbft)
Maximum recommended internally applied load (moment) when horizontally installed Click here to view coupling torque graphs
Maximum recommended internally applied load when vertically installed This is a function of the load acceleration. In a static case the load may approach the coupling breakaway force, however, using a safety factor of 5 the coupling would tolerate:
Not suitable for vertical mounting 36N (8lbf) with moderate accelerations 62N (14lbf) with moderate accelerations

Pressure range 5x10exp-11 mbar
Bakeout temperature bakeable to 250°C without removing any components.
Position lock Thumbscrew
