Download, Upload, Execute

The PSMCC was designed to operate without a host computer once your program is finished and tested. At first, though, you'll probably find yourself running it from the PC much of the time. That way you can quickly make changes in your program to fix errors or conduct experiments.

Upload

Upload lets you extract whatever program is in the PSMCC1 memory and display it on the screen. If you want to modify a program already in your driver, you can use the Upload command to bring it back to the PC.

Download

Execute

Download transfers the program from the Windows software to the driver. The transfer takes about 3 seconds. You must download the program before you can execute it. If you press the Execute button before downloading, the program that was previously in your indexer-drive will execute and the results may not match what is shown on your screen.

Execute tells the PSMCC to begin running the program that is in its internal memory, starting on line 1. After hitting the Execute button, you'll see a box appear with a status display and five programme control buttons.  The control buttons enable you to stop pause and step through the programme sequence.
