Actuation Methods |

|
Manual handwheel actuation |
|

|
 |
|
Handwheel actuators provide the most
basic method for motion adjustment. For systems fitted with larger
flanges, a geared-handwheel is fitted to overcome the addition torque. |

Motorisation |
|
|
A selection of motors are available to
meet the load, speed and positioning requirements of each application. All
motorised linear shift mechanisms are supplied with bakeable limit
switches. UHV Design offer two single-axis motor controllers. The first
provides simple control of a DC motor, while the second offers a complete
control centre for driving a stepper motor. For further information

Motorisation upgrades to suit UHV Design
controllers
When purchasing a Linear Shift Mechanism for UHV Design
controllers, an additional integration upgrade is available. The upgrade
includes a bakeable socket connector, mounted to the frame, to which the
limit switches are pre-wired. In the case of stepper motor driven
products, an extra home switch is also provided. The motor lead is also
upgraded for both types, terminating with a connector compliant with the
controller cabling. Selection of this upgrade provides a complete solution
to motion control. |
