UHV Design has for sometime understood the frustration of shaft connection through its specialized supply of customised drives to equipment manufactures. Our relentless drive for improved techniques has resulted in a unique and innovative solution for shaft connection and is now being marketed as a modular system for a number of our most popular rotary feedthroughs.

The technique employs a compression coupling that locks an extended shaft into a precise bore provided in the feedthrough shaft. The system is manufactured from only high quality stainless steel. There is pumping access to any enclosed volumes. Most importantly it provides mechanically, a rugged, reliable, concentric, demountable and simple cost effective solution to extending shafts.

Within reason shafts of any length may be connected, although, the standard extension is 300mm (12 inches). One end of the extended shaft is manufactured to suit the compression coupling to the MagiDrive while the other end is plain as standard or alternatively supplied with a further coupling.

To order the modular shaft configuration use the 'XM000' shaft type, marked as part 'A' in the picture (Please see the part number table for details).  The shaft extension kit comprising of the extension shaft, circlip, and compression nut (marked as parts 'B'  in the picture) is ordered as a separate item (part number: 'SEK').
