UHV
Design has developed a completely new range of miniature flanges to take
advantage of the smaller sizes of standard metric tubes. These are not
intended to compete with standard US/imperial CF flanges but actually
compliment the range adding a new level of flexibility for system
designers, as shown below. |
|
The
method of sealing employs a trapped copper gasket between two sharp
knife edged flanges. An array of metric bolts apply the required torque
to ensure the correct bite pattern for UHV sealing. All the
MicroFlange’s accept metric washers (unlike the existing metric Mini
Flange), which is essential for reliable bolting.
All flanges are manufactured from 316L stainless steel. |

A
key benefit of the MicroFlange series is the capacity to feed system
services within reduced space constraints.
The smallest MicroFlange fits within the largest in the series,
providing an excellent solution for water and LN2 cooling assemblies.
In addition to this, a radical range of components terminating with
the CF10 MicroFlange is also available, such as the..
