Magnetic Push / Pull Series

The Magnetic Push Pull range encompasses a series of magnetically coupled “Push Pull” linear and linear/rotary actuators. These components provide a rugged but cost effective solution for manipulation in high or ultra high vacuum applications.

UHV Design's renowned magnetic coupling technology provides a rigid linear coupling with 98N (10kgf or 22lbf) break-away force along with a break-away torque, for rotating versions, of 0.45Nm (0.332lbft).  The magnetic coupling design eliminates the thrust due to vacuum acting on a conventional bellows-sealed arrangement.

Each series is offered as standard on a NW16CF (1-1/3"OD CF) MiniConflat flange with the option of an NW35CF (2-3/4" OD CF) flange if required.  Each series is offered with manual, DC and stepper motor actuator options.

The MPPRL provides both linear and rotary motion.

MPPL - Linear push/pull only (no rotation)

The MPPL provides linear only translation of the vacuum shaft, which is guided internally. Since the rotary element of the coupling is not required this becomes a cost effective solution to push and pull applications.

MPP - Linear push/pull with freely rotating shaft

This product provides linear actuation of an unguided vacuum shaft. It is used to manipulate slides or pivot arms where a guided system may conflict with the mechanism
